Welcome to Dirtbox Recordings `Beskar`

Edinburgh based producer and now DJ, Ruben (Beskar) spent years perfecting his craft before 2021 when an onslaught of music was unleashed from his studio in Scotland.

Releases came thick and fast over last year on labels such as GZ Audio, Deep In The Jungle, Sub-Division & GTA before landing his feet with us here on Dirtbox Recordings.

A catalogue of works in such a short period of time has also started to get certain industry standard bearers take notice too, As Ram Records recently signed a forthcoming EP on their sub label Program for later this year.

You heard it here first.

This brings us to his debut on Dirtbox Recordings and his first solo output of the year. As we intend to release on May 4th this Star Wars inspired 2 tracker covers all bases in dance floor frenzied bangers with that added Disney Magic.

i/ Beskar- “Wilhelm Scream”

Movie buffs will instantly recognise the name of this one as a staple in 80s movies and of course made famous by “A New Hope” from the original Star Wars trilogy.

Wilhelm Scream starts with a haunting upper synth section surrounded by eerie Jedi like chanting-like sounds fill out the intro until we drop into our build of grinding bass and drums to lead us into the blood curdling Wilhelm Scream.

Heavy heavy pan sounds with an almost classic Barcode Records feel drop in taking you by surprise while taking you on the full landscape of Neuro flava’s only Beskar knows how to drop on us.

ii/ Beskar- “Mount Arakeirkos”

At the top of the mountain, a great clock is set into stone, built by the Arakein Monks almost two thousand standard years ago. According to legend, whoever watches each swing of its pendulum for a day will have the lifespan of the universe revealed before his eyes.

Whoever listens to this Drum & bass track by Beskar on Spotify for 3 days will have the lifespan of the universe in the palm of their hands.
