None But Christ Podcast

Episode 2 in our What Does it Mean to be a Christian series dives into the first pillar. Being a Christian means to be fundamentally changed by Christ. It means to know Him and live in Him.

Thanks for listening!

This is the intro to a series we are going to do on the question of what it means to be a Christian. Josh gives 3 points for what it means to him, and we would love to hear what you think it means to be a follower of Christ!

Mike joined me again to have a conversation about Galatians 3:28. This verse is a sort of thesis statement of the Apostle Paul's reworking of Christian thought around the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We discuss things such as:

-What is cultural relativism?

-What should different people's roles be according to the Bible?

-How does "being in Christ" shape our society, lives as Christ-followers?

and more...

Thanks for listening! We pray you will be encouraged and challenged to pursue Christ and think in different streams!

Brett joins me to talk about what Jesus says in John 17 about unity.

-Do we hold ourselves to what He says faithfully?

-What are the reasons we make up not to obey the call for radical unity?

-How should we live in light of what Christ really says?

Teacher, Youth Leader, and most importantly friend Beck Green joins me to discuss Continuationism. We talk through questions such as:

-What is continuationism?

-What is the point of sign gifts?

-Didn't they end with the Apostles?

-What about the silence through Church history ?

And more...

Never stop growing in Christ and listening to the Spirit speaking!

This episode is an interview I was blessed to record with Joe Clark about his life serving God as a missionary in North America. Joe is also my uncle, so we are keeping it in the family. His heart lines up with mine; to see people's lives shaped by the Gospel and to give it all for Christ.

Through the ways God has worked in Joe's life, we hope you will be able to learn, grow, and be challenged.

Oh, that we could all say 'I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me' (Galatians 2:20) All value and purpose we have is found in our Messiah.

Thanks for listening!

Michael Da Silva joins me to discuss Revelation 21. We talk about some key ideas in the Biblical narrative :

-What does the "New" mean?

-Do we just go off to Heaven when we die and spend eternity there?

-Is there no ocean in the eternal state?

and more...

It was a wonderful conversation and we hope you will be challenged and encouraged in Christ!

Matthew 5:20 is a powerful verse with big implications that are not usually taught in a way that reflects that. This episode will attempt to give an accurate and convicting view.

Thanks for listening!

In this episode, Josh explores some simple thoughts from Jesus's words that have the power to change our lives. We hope this episode will be challenging and help us all focus on the value Christ can give our lives. The best thing we can do is ask ourselves tough questions and answer them honestly:

-How different does my life look following Christ versus my life without Him?

-Do I make excuses for giving God less?

- Do I surround myself with people who seek the Kingdom of God more than me?

 Thanks for listening!

This is a new series where we are going to be taking another look at Bible passages that we might have a different view on now or approach differently. Our hope is that we will arrive at an honest interpretation of God's Word that stands on its own from our culture and times.

Today Josh talks a bit about

-Acknowledging Biases

-Digging Deeper

-Galatians 2
