Motorists using Interstate 29 in western and southwestern are back to traveling a maze of detours as a new round of flooding closes portions of Interstate 29 and other highways and roads. The roadways had only reopened in recent weeks following devastating flooding along the Missouri River in March. Information from the Iowa Department of Transportation shows I-29 closed from Missouri Valley to Omaha and in southwest Iowa from Hamburg to St. Joseph. Plus, there are also closures south of Omaha.
