Pat Barker brings the besieged and haunted city of London into electrifying life in her most powerful novel since the Regeneration trilogy.
Members Reviews:
value what you have.
pat barker still has it. powerful evocation of a terrible history of london in the blitz.
Almost a documentary
The characters are used fairly sparingly to string together some vivid, detailed descriptions of
life in the Second World War, especially the London Blitz.
