Nora was four years old when her mother left her. With her mom gone, it was then heartbreaking for her dad to leave her with her grandparents when he had to train in another state. When Nora was able to rejoin her father, he was in the military, so they had to move house every two years. She never felt like she belonged anywhere because she was always moving. At eight years old, she was sexually assaulted by her teacher’s husband, experiencing the loss of her innocence. At eighteen, she miscarried her first child, experiencing loss of a life. She would go on to lose two more children, but would be thankful for the children she did have. While she has experienced many losses, she stays positive about life, knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
