This new episode of the Sober Minimal podcast series is dedicated to the Danish studio Norm Architects, based in Copenhagen.
As in previous episodes, this time as well, I discus a studio that plays a key role in contemporary design culture and serves as a reference for my own practice.
Norm Architects is known for its essential and sophisticated approach to architecture, interior design, and product design. The studio embodies a design philosophy deeply rooted in the principles of Scandinavian minimalism, with a strong focus on the quality of space, light, and natural materials, which they compose according to a holistic approach. As they write in their first monograph, Soft Minimal, which I have carefully read to prepare this podcast, their approach is human-centric.
