Normalization

Listen Later

Normalization is an audio process that raises or lowers a clip to hit a chosen level target, giving you a more consistent starting point for editing. In this episode, Mr. E explains normalization in beginner-friendly language and why it matters for post-production choices: normalization can fix an overall “too quiet” or “too loud” file, but it doesn’t automatically smooth out loud and quiet moments within the performance. You’ll learn when normalization helps and what to use next when the problem is uneven sections.
