We are headed to North Carolina this week. Nancy and Brad Cooper moved from Canada to Cary, North Carolina and were living in idealistic life in the affluent suburb outside of Raleigh. In 2008, Nancy went for a run but never returned, just two days after going missing, Nancy's body was found. As police investigate, they uncover a contentious divorce, affairs, and a heated child custody battle, all signs were pointing to Brad but with little evidence, it would take years to get justice for Nancy. Fun Fact: North Carolina got the nickname the Tar Heel State because workers here used to sell tar, pitch, and turpentine from the state's longleaf pine trees to be used in wooden ships. This week we are covering a serial killer out of Huntsville, Texas. Daniel Lee Corwin killed three women in the East Texas area and attempted to kill two others. He was finally caught when one of his victims survived and was determined to find her attacker.Fun Fact: The Texas State Penitentiary at Huntsville opened in 1849, one year after the state legislature created the penitentiary system.
