North Dakota experienced a decline in serious crimes in 2024, with drops in violent and property crimes. Robberies fell by over 60%, murders by half, and aggravated assaults by nearly 10%. Motor vehicle thefts also decreased by more than 20%. However, rape cases surged by 30%, statutory rape by 14%, and incest cases doubled. Driving while intoxicated cases rose by 5.5%.
