The Food and Drug Administration and North Fish USA Inc. have recalled North Fish Cold Smoked Capelin. These fish, when over 5 inches in length, are contaminated with clostridium botulinum bacteria that can trigger life-threatening illness and death.
These contaminated fish were sold in New York and Georgia but re-sold all along the East Coast.
