4-11. The Conquest of Canaan: The Northern Campaign, c. 1400 B.C. or c. 1214 B.C. (Joshua 11:1–23) After Joshua’s forces defeated several Amorite kings in the south, the king of Hazor assembled the northern Canaanite kings to battle the Israelites. Joshua and his men defeated the Canaanites at the waters of Merom and pursued them to Great Sidon and the Valley of Mizpeh. Then Joshua turned back and captured the city of Hazor.

Faithful Obedience
Do not fear – I have given them into your hands.
The Lord gave them into the hands of Israel

Yahweh is salvation or the Lord saves
Jesus is the Promised Messiah
Inheritance promised to Abraham (Gen 17:8)
Heb 11:8-10 – Future inheritance
Eph 1:11-14 – guaranteed inheritance
Heb 4 – Don’t harden your hearts and miss God’s rest
Salvation is a rest from our works
