*Apologies for the scruffy vocal today - far too much talking this week*

It is the perfect morning to record this episode. I can hear the rain gently falling through the open windows, the skies turned grey and the temperatures are falling. Autumn is right around the corner.

What is it about Wendy Webb’s standalone that keeps me hooked? Typically, I want newness and fresh themes from the authors - and filmmakers - that I enjoy most.

Webb has a series of signature elements which are present in each of her standalone northern gothic novels. It works for me. Like an invitation to my favourite chair, with a blanket and glass of wine or cup of tea, I anticipate the next escape into her world.
