DMV Spotlight on 7-13-25 shines a light on the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics held at various locations across several Northern Virginia Counties and Cities.

Guest, Ron Hupp, this year’s NVSO Chair says last year a record number of people –fifty and over—participated..with the oldest participant being 101. He expects even more will sign up this year when registration opens on Monday, July 14th for the October 2025 games.

Hupp notes that several new events will be added to the 70 plus sports and activities, including the 50 yard butterfly in swimming and Texas Hold ‘em poker. Hupp says the ever popular Pickleball events are also being expanded for this year’s competition.
