Robert Eggers returns to the Dracula story in Nosferatu, which pays homage to its most renowned adaptations in what may be one of the most gorgeous horror films ever made. The film's stunning visuals, including El Greco overcast sky, somber candle-lit interiors, looming terrifying castles, and magnificent clothing, may overwhelm actors Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Bill Skarsgård. There is such a thing as being overly reverent and refined, particularly in a horror film. However, this is another well made picture by Eggers.
