Dr. Malik is a diagnostic radiologist who specializes in intervention and breast imaging radiology. She received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and did a 5-year residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas-Southwestern. She went on to specialize in breast imaging and intervention. Dr. Malik is the daughter of an anesthesiologist and a primary care physician, she has a MPH from Johns Hopkins University, is a medical advisor for Bright Pink which focuses on women and breast health awareness, and is on the communications committee for the society of breast imaging.

In this episode we discuss her path to radiology, how hurricane Katrina shaped her medical career, why she focuses on public health around the globe, why she did a 5-year diagnostic radiology specializing in interventional diagnosis and breast imaging, and the future of radiology in the growing age of artificial intelligence.
