As a musician, having a crowd around when performing is essential, but as a solo living soul, having a crowd around while living my day-to-day existence, and thinking that having a crowd around me, is not only impractical, but not mentally healthy. The same goes for living side-by-side with a life partner believing that since I'm no longer living solo means I must pour myself into the partner.
I've learned, from experiencing isolation, that going within is the only way to find true companionship, once you found love with self first.
