Special Guests Faith Trimel & Ifa Bumi
Do you know any Black LBTQ women on the big screen? Can you name any in television, radio, music, art, etc.? Black LGBTQA people in media have been invisible. Invisible to producers, writers, and to you too. But times are changing and we're here to push progress forward.
Special Guests: Faith Trimel and Ifa Bumi
Real Talk. Real Change.
Faith Trimel, is a multi-hyphenate writer, director, producer, accomplished musician, published writer, and actress. She spent years successfully working as an actress in commercials, independent films, and voice-overs. Ever ready for a challenge. You probably know Faith because of her coming-of-age dramedy "Family". Family centers on the lives of a group of lesbian friends who all experience continual strife in their personal and professional lives as a result of being closeted.
Creative and determined are the words used to describe Ifa Bumi. Here first full-length poetry collection celebrates unrestrained sexuality, alluding perhaps to masculine or androgynous characteristics of herself. She is a talented wordsmith with her own distinctive voice.
Liquid Toffee is…a sustained mediation of unwavering desire and indefinable erotic adoration. In this richly sensuous book of poetry, author Ifa Bumi covers all aspects of lust and love, from the highs of ecstasy to disappointment of heartbreak.
Each offering in the collection infuses the senses, acting as witness to the passion between two women.
This exuberant book of poems, features digital artwork from the “I Am the Masterpiece” Red Collection.
