Have we overly romanticized the process of healing? Have we made it seem so "glamorous" because we've fixated more on the outcome than what we're putting into the process? It's easy to put the healing process into a particular time frame or get so caught up in the result that we forget to be intentional. But for those who are going through it or have gone through it, you know the healing process entails much more than what meets the eye. Healing is hard work.
Healing isn't summed up in a quote, nor can it be given a particular "date of completion." The impact of the healed version of you is predicated on how active you are within the journey itself.
If you're going through a season of healing, remember to check in with yourself throughout your journey. Make sure you're doing it for yourself, be patient with yourself, and give yourself grace as you go through it. There will be ups and downs, but you'll be a better version of yourself in hindsight.
