Hebrews 9:15-28.
With the introduction of Christ’s conscience cleansing blood last week, the Author continues to amplify his theme by highlighting the better blood of Jesus. If you’ve never had a chance to pause and think about the role of blood in our salvation, the Author is giving us that opportunity in these verses. The first covenant was a covenant marked by blood, and as we will see, it’s no different for the better covenant initiated by the Lamb of God whose blood takes away the sin of the world (Jn. 1:29). Main Idea: The better blood of Jesus secures our inheritance and accomplishes our redemption.
