In life, we frequently have the choice of which possibilities to accept or reject, usually with no indication of how these opportunities may pan out. Each person has probably made the error of passing up an opportunity that later turned out to be quite profitable. But if we don't even try, how will we ever know? That is the challenge of life. If we don't consider our options, we can't really figure out what does or doesn't work. Furthermore, concentrating on past errors and agonizing over how you might have avoided them is unproductive and can have a negative effect on a leader's ability to make decisions when new chances arise. Life is a process, and it’s up to use to truly discover our calling.
