Rise to Thrive Episode 12: Nourishment ~ You Are Alive
What comes to mind when you think of nourishment? What does it mean to you to care for your body?
For many of us, what first comes to mind is a sense of conviction over what we actually put in our bodies. Nourishment is often correlated with food - but there are so many other ways of nourishing ourselves.
What we eat, drink, speak, listen to, watch, and who we surround ourselves with are all ways that we can choose to nourish our bodies. We're nourished not just on the physical level, but also mental, emotional, and spiritual planes.
If you've ever struggled with body image, diet, or nutrition - this episode is for you. Our search for nourishment - every craving, desire, and impulse - is actually rooted in feeling. We try to medicate or heal emotional problems on the physical level, but underneath surface level hungers are deeper hungers and voids we are trying to fill.
