Today we began the book of Tobit!

The book of Tobit is a book that does not appear in most English Bibles. The reason for this is that most English Bibles are printed by protestants and the protestant reformers actually removed some books from the Old Testament. It's hard to believe, but it's true. 

The book of Tobit is a tremendous treasure. It is an adventure story and a love story, chock full of tremendous examples of real heroism for the people of God in every age. It also has so much wisdom to share and insight into the angelic world and how it intersects with our lives.

I thought it appropriate to share it with our bible study and podcast listeners. 

 

In the bible study, I mentioned an excellent series of lectures on the "Spiritual Will" of Tobit, the instructions Tobit gives to his son Tobias before he departs for the journey.
