Arthur Voss writes obituaries for a dying newspaper—a job that's killed whatever idealism he once had. When his editor assigns him a rush obituary for the city's beloved mayor, there's just one problem: the man is alive and giving a speech on live TV. Worse, the obituary describes tomorrow's "accidental" death in disturbing detail. Arthur has twelve hours to stop a murder, but the evidence trail leads straight back to him. In a city where corruption flows like rain and the powerful always win, doing the right thing might be the most fatal mistake of all.
