Benjamin Franklin was living in the then US Capital, Philadelphia Pennsylvania and was excited about the prospect of recording observations of a predicted eclipse event. Problem is, there was no such thing as a Weather network back then so there was no way of knowing there was a hurricane looming until it was upon you and it was and it ruined his day.
