Hour 1:
My first guest tonight won the USA BBQ Championship this past weekend in Laughlin, NV. A Smoke on the Water event that saw 85 teams show up to get after a $50,000 purse. In the end, Steve Wilson from The Pit Crew BBQ of Socal, took top honors. Steve will tell us how he got in to BBQ, when he decided to compete and what his plans for the rest of the year are.
Next up, monthly guest and “Official Sauce and Rub Reviewer” for the BBQ Central Show, Scott Roberts, joins me to break down some new products.
Hour 2:
In the second hour, we go “Round Table” style with 4 pitmasters who will be competing in the Kingsford Invitational this weekend. Rod Gray from Pellet Envy, Darren Warth from Iowa Smokey D’s, Dan Hixon from 3-Eyz BBQ and Mark Lambert from Sweet Swine O’ Mine will give us a look at their current seasons, how they feel they are doing at current time, have a look ahead at the Kingsford event, how they feel they will stack up against the other teams and if “Winner Takes All” is a good way to win. With talent like this in one place, you never know what topics will come up, or what views will be given!
