This series is a verse-by-verse expository series on the book of Haggai. In this first message, Pastor Jake preaches through the first part of chapter 1. The people of Israel had been allowed back to their homeland after 70 years in captivity in order to rebuild the Temple. But after some opposition, they gave up and the project sat untouched for 14 years as they built their own houses, saying "the time isn't now". God sent Haggai to say now IS the time! When God tells you to do something, you do it despite opposition. You choose the hard right over the easy wrong. You trust Him with the outcome and simply obey.
