The reactions of the neighbors and the Pharisees to the healing of the man born blind are divided.

But the man is not divided.  He progresses from simply describing the miracle, to declaring Jesus is a prophet, to professing faith in Jesus!

The text challenges us to ask what we believe about the miracles of Jesus.  It also challenges us to confront legalism and stand strong in faith.

Ultimately it asks, "Do you believe?"
