Haggai 1v1-15 

Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back. Philippians 3v13-14 (MSG) 

1. Refocusing begins with an INSIDE LOOK. 

See Haggai 1v1-7 

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Psalms 139v23-24 (NLT) 

2. Refocusing is TRADING my PRIORITIES for His. 

The people are saying, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.’” Haggai 1v2 (NLT) For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6v2 (NLT) 

3. Refocusing is RECOGNIZING that HE is with me.

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40v28-31 (NLT)
