Quotes from the episode:
“I’ve always used the phrase… ‘I take delivery of songs, I don’t write them.’”
“Any talents that I think I possessed I’ve always felt like a gift from God.”
Fun things from the episode:
Bryan and Sarah shared insights from the Bible
The vision for the Matthew 6 Project comes from Matthew 6:5-8:
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
Sarah shared Zephaniah 3:17, “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
The “leaves the 99” from Reckless Love is from Matthew 18:12, “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?”

Meet our friend, Bryan Roach. Bryan is an incredibly talented musician, singer, songwriter, creative & friend. In this episode he shares his background story from musicals to a record deal to burnout and a 10 year music writing hiatus. This is a story of how many creatives struggle, those of us with perfectionist tendencies have to learn to let go, and the power of having safe allies with whom we can safely bounce our ideas.
What is extraordinary about Bryan’s story is the redemptive power of faith. Letting go of control, trusting God, and experiencing spiritual growth led to a restoration of things once thought lost. Sarah and Will played witness to and are champions of a revitalization in Bryan’s creative life. That’s something good!
In November 2021, after a decade away from songwriting and recording, Bryan released a new album called The Matthew 6 Project. We are blessed to be part of his music writing hiatus coming to an end and even more excited to share the beginnings of the Matthew 6 Project.
Stay tuned for next episode to hear more about the Matthew 6 Project. It is definitely something good!

What’s so neat about this story is that we didn’t meet our guest until a recent road trip. We went with our eldest daughter, Lillian, on a college visit to Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. There we met Kimmy, her mom Rachel, and her big sister Kennedy. They just so happened to be in the same tour group as us and we immediately made a positive connection!
After multiple “chance encounters” throughout Lynchburg we just knew we were supposed to invite the Narro’s to tell their story. Will calls moments like these not a “coincidence” but, rather, a “God-incident.” We hope and pray you recognize why this was more than just a random encounter, but, rather a truly impactful story that encourages you as much as it has us!
During this episode you will hear mostly from Kimmy. Her mom, Rachel, big sister, Kennedy, and our daughter Lillian also chime in throughout.
This episode was recorded in Lynchburg, Virginia at a wonderful AirBnB called The Bird House

“Leading people to the throne of worship is like having a conversation with melodies to God.”
“I have the Lord in my heart; that is the one true way to be happy and bring peace in life.”

\\ Podcast introduction
We have the privilege to introduce Levi and Chelsea Thomas, owners of a local F45 gym. Their story is so much more than health and fitness. It’s about learning through life’s major disappointments. Taking risks to explore new opportunities. Building a community through positive influence and a loving, personal presence. Listening and looking. Being willing and wanting to take a risk when your story demands it.
How this Oregon rancher and small town midwestern girl experience ups and downs together is nothing short of extraordinary! You’ll hear about their backstory, insecurities, faith, and the incredible F45 family that reciprocated the love to keep the gym even through a long period of mandated COVID-19 closure.
We loved having them in the studio. We trust you will be just as inspired we are to listen better, love more, and go all in.

We were introduced to Freedom House through 2Rivers Church. Freedom House directors, Gary and Susan Smith, are aunt and uncle to our lovely sister-in-law Jenny, too! Over the past few years we’ve had the opportunity to coordinate donations to support them and visited Holcomb, MO where Freedom House is located.
Talk about Something Good! Life change - genuine, life altering, death-defying change. That is good, indeed. Susan and Gary share stories and the heart behind the mission. Some unique things you’ll hear about in this episode:
