Pedro Reis, a former car salesman turned artist, discusses how to find success as an artist, balancing life with the busy mind of a creative, and living a happy life.

We get into some interesting conversations. He has lived a very dynamic and diverse life. Not only has he fought multiple times in Muay Thai, but he has also started multiple businesses, which require taking major bets on himself along the way.

A few years ago, I thought I had it all figured out. Great businesses, multiple houses, a nice car, and a girlfriend.

Then, the 2020 lockdowns came, and in what felt like the blink of an eye, I lost everything.

The result? I also lost my happiness.

I fell many times, but today, I feel like I am at a place where I am happy again.

SHAK, aka ILLMATIK, went from writing poetry in Manchester to touring the world performing his music. From there, he opened burger joints, and now he is a chef and a happy family man.

Along the way, he has had his share of hard times, though. But by practicing gratitude and always putting his best foot forward, he's found happiness.
