Ahead of Friday’s Drive I caught up with actress & co-producer Carianne Dunford to chat about a short story with a long reach, The Long Walk. Based on a true story, this uplifting and thought-provoking psychological drama part-filmed in Essex puts mental health in the spotlight and is now in post-production. Carianne talked a little about her character and exclusively revealed two of the profile actors in the film. Two familiar faces of British TV, Michelle Collins (Coronation Street, Dr Who, Casualty) and Daniel Casey (Eastenders, Midsomer Murders, Marchlands, The Bill) – if that wasn’t enough to tempt you it also features Phoenix FM’s own Nick Field and Stewart Pink as extras!

The short film has gained the majority of its finances from a successful crowdfunding campaign and to raise the funds needed to finalise production and help towards distribution costs you are invited to join members of the cast and crew at a virtual quiz night. The quiz will take place via zoom on Sunday 12th December from 7pm, tickets are £5 and 20% of all proceeds from the quiz will go to the charity MIND.
