Nikki Haley announced she is dropping out of the presidential race. She didn’t endorse former President Donald Trump, but Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said he is endorsing President Trump.

On the Democratic side, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) dropped out of the presidential race after Super Tuesday. He endorsed President Joe Biden.

A Houthi missile killed two crew members aboard a commercial ship near the coast of Yemen. This is the first time the Houthis have killed anyone as part of their ongoing attacks on ships transiting the Red Sea.

The House passed the first six appropriation bills for fiscal year 2024, worth $460 billion. Over 80 Republicans voted against it, and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) relied on Democrats to pass the spending package.
