Thousands are feared dead in the French territory of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean after the island was hit by Cyclone Chido at the weekend. France dispatched rescue teams and medical personnel to Mayotte, which is located off the east coast of Africa. The storm brought winds of over 124 mph, making it the strongest storm to hit the island in more than 90 years.
