The first presidential debate of the season is on tonight. NTD looks at what to expect as former President Donald Trump takes on President Joe Biden.

The Supreme Court appears ready to allow emergency abortions in Idaho when a mother’s health is at risk. A copy of an opinion was briefly posted on the court’s website on June 26. The case started when the Justice Department sued Idaho over its abortion law. The law allows a woman to get an abortion only when her life—and not her health—is at risk. A court spokeswoman said a formal opinion will be issued in due course.

The Department of Homeland Security says illegal border crossings are dropping quickly, and are now at their lowest point since President Biden took office. NTD’s international correspondent Arian Pasdar has the immigration update.
