The author of seven novels and three books of nonfiction, many of which have won prestigious awards, Charlotte Wood is one of the country's most critically acclaimed writers.

Her latest novel, Stone Yard Devotional, was shortlisted for the 2024 Booker Prize, making her the first Australian to be shortlisted since 2014. The novel is a moving and meditative exploration of grief, and the possibility of solace in a  time of looming climate catastrophe.
