The Canucks have been on a tear since the last podcast (9-3-0). They have been so good in fact, that the playoff conversation is no longer delusional to discuss. The Nucks have an important 7 game home stand coming up with multiple games against subpar opponents. The boys own their fate as they look to make a miraculous playoff push.
The Covid struck Canucks took on a grueling string of games that saw AHL goalie Spencer Martin shine and unlikely players who stepped up big; all while keeping the Canucks slim playoff hopes alive. I go over some possible trades that we could see the new Canucks front office make as well as take a look at the upcoming schedule. Big game on Saturday... nothing like beating the Leafs at home... 4:00 PM start... rediculous.
The Canucks embarked on a 5 game road trip which saw them play some of the league's best teams. While the trip did not start the way they wanted it to the Canucks strung together a couple of wins to salvage the trip and come home a .500 team. Bo Horvat and Conor Garland have been added to the Covid list which is a massive blow for the team moving forward, who will step up in the absence of these two goal scorers?
The Nucks have not played a game in over a week! Today I look at the current roster with the main focus of analyzing current and upcoming contracts. The Canucks have their fair share of good and bad contracts, Jim Rutherford will have his hands full determining who to extend, trade, or let go.
A lot has changed since my last Podcast. The Canucks have clawed their way back to .500 as Bruce Boudreau has gone 7-0-1 as the Canucks head coach. I examine how Bruce has changed the Canucks so quickly whilst also looking at what Jim Rutherford will bring to the front office. A tough schedule looms over the boys...
Today I take a look at the last 10 games for the Vancouver Canucks which saw them go 3-6-1 and included a dreadful 5 game losing streak. I examine both sides of the special teams which have been a letdown and the single biggest reason for the early-season struggles. Is it time for Green to go? Listen and find out!
Today we go solo and look at the early season struggles for the Canucks, Travis Green's curious lineup decisions as well as discuss some of the new faces on the team. What does the future hold for these Nucks, listen and find out!
WE ARE BACK!!
Join Kyle Welsford and a mysterious new guest as they discuss the various offseason moves, the looming Pettersson and Hughes contracts, and potential line combinations for both offence and defence. We are happy to be back!
Go Canucks Go!
The Canucks have been eliminated from the playoffs which means that we get to see some prospects like Lind, Rathbone and others get their chance in the lineup. McDavid picked up his 100th point in the 4 games against the Oilers and we got shut out once against the Jets...if that isn’t the story of our season we don’t know what is.
The Canucks lose both games against the Leaf's while being outscored 9-2. They were simply the better team. Theses losses did not come with a lack of effort as we saw flashes from some players including Kole Lind who impressed in his NHL debut. We take a dive into some young players that could see more ice time and the Elias Pettersson injury and contract situation.
