This weekly podcast is targeted at IT professionals, technical writers, marketers, documentation specialists, and anyone interested in promoting their career with artificial intelligence. Subscribe today to never miss a single daily episode!
Today’s show, captured on October 17, 2024, teaches listeners about how major tech companies are planning to use nuclear power for artificial intelligence (AI) and unpacks Tesla's recent We, Robot event in Hollywood.
Robbins and Bailey discuss and analyze how Amazon, Google (Alphabet), and Microsoft have recently announced that they will leverage nuclear energy to power their massive respective AI programs. Microsoft is going old school and rebooting the Unit 1 reactor from Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania (not the one that partially melted down in 1979; that was Unit 2), while Amazon and Google are planning to employ more modern Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
Tesla's recent We, Robot event in Los Angeles showed off its latest Optimus humanoid robot, which the company claims will be available in less than two years for about $30,000. The controversial electric car company also debuted two robotaxi models, both of which lacked traditional human controls such as a steering wheel and brake pedal.
