In 1831 French Aristocrat, Diplomat and keen student of democracy as a concept, Alexis de Toqueville, went to America. His 2 volume work La Democratique En Amerique was a hit and it's still enjoyed as a classic to this day. But Alexis wasn't above getting snippy about this new companions. Even his snippiness was beautifully written. 🇺🇸🇫🇷
