Audio tour of the World Soil Museum. The major soils of the Netherlands are highlighted in this part of the tour. The landscapes and soils of the Netherlands are the results of geological forces and human actions. Variations in landscapes, especially in relation to drainage and water, have played an important role in Dutch settlement history. In the first part of the audio tour the soils of the sand landscape and those of the loess landscape are discussed.
