* On their way to the Promised Land, Israel was refused passage by Edom.
* Israel didn’t engage them in battle.
* Why?
* Because it wasn’t their fight.
* Even though they were treated as enemies, they weren’t to fight Edom.
* Just like when David was not to fight agains the family of Nabal (Abigail saved him).
* We don’t need to get into petty little fights as well.
* We need to simply engage in the battle to extend God’s kingdom on the earth, period.
* The more we stay out of fights we shouldn’t be in the more powerful we’ll be in the fights we should be in.
* How do you know if it’s a fight worth fighting?
* It has to be about extending God’s kingdom and bringing Him glory (guarding His truth).
