In Numbers 23 & 24, no matter how many times they switch mountains to ask God or how many sacrifices they make only blessings are brought forth from Balaam's mouth. Balaam has been humbled and can only say what God tells him to say but he is still divided since he cannot get paid unless he curses Israel. The first blessing comes forth for God's chosen people and God reminds them that if God has not cursed someone, no one else can. If God has not condemned someone, no one else can. God has any and all power and authority. Judgment belongs to God and only God. Romans 8 tells us again if God is for us, nothing and no one can be against us. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, we are only seen as righteous in God's eyes and nothing can stand against us when our faith is in Him and Him alone. The 2nd blessing shows God's character. He does not change His mind. He keeps His promises. He does not lie. No matter what we may have done or might do in our lives, God loves us. He has not changed His mind about us. His promises stand. In the 3rd blessing, Balaam is further humbled and he realizes God's will and submits to it. God does not bend or alter His will for us, our wills are to line up with His. The Holy Spirit falls on Him when he submits his will to God's and he now sees clearly with eyes wide open. He tells of the glory of God's Kingdom as well as the judgment that is to come as a result of the evilness they refuse to turn from. They will have to account for that evil. God doesn't take our side, we take His. His side is established and solid and trustworthy. If you are on God's side, absolutely nothing can come against you - His will always stands firm.
