* God has made you to be king & priest (Revelation 3).
* As king we ascribe authority, rule, and power.
* As king we ascribe mercy, and grace, and compassion.
* In the OT, the offices were separate.
* But they were meant to work TOGETHER!
* Vs 18-21 - Moses was placing Joshua as the leader (king).
* But he wasn’t to operate apart from the priest.
* But notice who was supposed to LEAD!
* The priest!
* So long as the king followed the priest then all would be well.
* If it got reversed (as it did in Saul’s case) then it would not be well.
* So what do we do?
* Before you ACT, ASK!
* Before you let your ambitious king make a decision, consult the priest!
* EX: Rick Brausch - wanted to keep the biz alive (king) but felt knotted up inside. I asked him what he desired more, money or peace! He chose peace - that’s what priests do!).
