* God could have given this law from the outset when He gave the other laws.

* I believe it’s because He wants to be co-creator with us.

* His first blessing was “be fruitful and multiply” - Help Me create!

* It doesn’t stop with creating life - He wants us to create lots of things.

* In this situation God allowed people to be a part of creating the laws of a nation.

* In terms of creating laws, the key is to remain submitted to His laws first.

* We are God’s image bearers, and that makes us very creative people.

* When we co-create with God it gives us a sense of fulfillment we can’t have any other way.

* This is why lazy people are depressed - they are not creating.
