In Numbers 4, assignments and tasks are given to the three Levite clans so everyone knows what they are to do to serve in God's house and what their assignment is. They are counted again so they know how many and who are able to serve now. God is a God of now and wants anyone who is able to serve to get in their places and do so - - right now - today. Everything is wrapped up perfectly to make sure everything they are carrying remains holy and pure. Blue cloths are used when they are wrapping up God's house representing heaven. Goatskin leather is used making everything appear just like any other tent on the outside but there is a huge difference in this tent. This tent is God's house. Just like Jesus - He came to Earth looking like any other man, but He was truly God in human form. The scarlet cloth is used to carry the Bread of the Presence. Jesus is the Bread of Life and when He died for our sins on the cross, communication was opened between us and God - the veil used to cover the Ark was torn in two. The separation between us and God no longer exists. A purple cloth is used in wrapping up the altar for sacrifices. Purple is royalty and Jesus is royalty. He is the King of all and Lord of all and He made the one and final sacrifice for us on the cross. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are adopted as sons and daughters of the King - we are royalty.
