Números 15: Recordatorios para tener en cuenta la Palabra de Dios diariamente.
Números 15:37-41:
37 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 38 “Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles que a través de sus generaciones se hagan flecos en los bordes de sus vestiduras y que pongan un cordón azul en cada fleco del borde. 39 Los flecos servirán para que al verlos se acuerden de todos los mandamientos del SEÑOR, a fin de ponerlos por obra, y para que no vayan en pos de su propio corazón y de sus propios ojos, tras los cuales se han prostituido. 40 Será para que se acuerden y cumplan todos mis mandamientos, a fin de que sean santos para su Dios. 41 Yo, el SEÑOR, su Dios, que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto para ser su Dios. Yo, el SEÑOR, su Dios”.

Este capítulo es muy interesante porque comienza con unos consejos del Señor para que el pueblo se prepare cuando entre a la tierra prometida.
Recordemos que ayer leímos que ellos no creyeron que Dios podía introducirlos a la tierra prometida, se sublevaron contra la voluntad de Dios, y Dios los castigó por 40 años y les juró que no entrarían a la tierra prometida, excepto sus hijos, Josué y Caleb quienes creyeron en el Señor.
Me conmueve ver al Señor preparando a esa nueva generación, recordándoles los diferentes sacrificios y ofrendas que debían hacer para entrar a la tierra en agradecimiento al Señor. También les estaba indicando los sacrificios que deberían hacer si pecaban ingenuamente y sin malicia. También previene al pueblo de que tenga cuidado con pecar contra Dios con altivez porque así el Señor no los perdonaría.
Después vemos el castigo de un hombre que no le importó cumplir la ley y fue exterminado del pueblo; así de disciplinado es Dios por hacer cumplir su ley y mantener al pueblo lejos de corazones malvados que se burlaban de la ley de Dios.
Por último, el Señor les manda a que pusieran en sus vestiduras unos recordatorios para que nunca se olviden de la ley. El Señor reconoce que el ser humano es pronto para olvidar y volver a caer en los malos caminos, a pesar de que Dios está en medio de él. Tenemos esa tendencia de ser ingratos al olvidar lo que Dios ha hecho con nosotros y no ser fieles al Señor, después de concedernos las peticiones del corazón.
La pregunta que debemos hacernos hoy es: ¿De qué manera recordamos la Palabra de Dios a diario en nuestra vida?
Posiblemente no vamos a poner flecos en nuestras ropas, pero sí podemos poner algún recuerdo en nuestra casa como cuadros con versos bíblicos o con frases dedicadas a Dios, o hacer todos los días nuestras oraciones en la mañana y/o antes de acostarnos, recitar versos bíblicos y poner música alabando y adorando a Dios; así recuerdas a Dios y su Palabra siempre, también para recordarnos que hay cosas que al Señor le agradan y otras que no, y que debemos aplicarlos en nuestras vidas incluso en los momentos de tentación por impulsos de nuestra carne para evitar hacernos caer.
Posiblemente puedes poner alguna foto que te recuerde el grande amor de Dios como tu testimonio, o un milagro de sanidad o de transformación que Dios ha hecho en ti, o escoger una foto familiar y ponerla en la sala y decirle a tu familia que esta foto representa la bendición de Dios en el hogar.
Si sientes que en tu lugar de trabajo pasas por muchas pruebas y tentaciones, te va ayudar mucho tener algún recuerdo de la Palabra de Dios en tu vehículo para no darte por vencido, confiar que estamos en las manos de Dios y que debemos evitar quebrantar sus mandamientos con acciones pecaminosas que podemos enfrentar con compañeros de trabajo. En tu oficina o lugar de trabajo puedes tener un recuerdo de la Palabra de Dios como un llavero o tarjetas con versos bíblicos para que todos sepan que tú eres creyente y así, si alguna persona que quiera invitarte a hacer algo malo, lo piense dos veces.
En fin, está en ti buscar esos recuerdos como flecos que te recuerden la hermosa Palabra de Dios, sus promesas y nuestras responsabilidades como discípulos de Jesucristo. Recuerda el mandamiento de Dios de no hacer o tener escultura alguna o imagen de nada de lo que hay arriba en el cielo, abajo en la tierra o en el agua debajo de la tierra; no postrarse y adorar ante ellas, no rendirle culto porque el Señor es un Dios celoso. Así que evitemos la idolatría.

Numbers 15: Reminders to take into account the Word of God daily.
Numbers 15:37-41:
Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.”

This chapter is very interesting because it begins with some advice from the Lord so that the people prepare themselves when they enter the promised land.
Let's remember that yesterday we read that they did not believe that God could introduce them to the promised land, they rebelled against the will of God, and God punished them for 40 years and swore that they would not enter the promised land, except for their children, Joshua and Caleb who believed in the Lord.
It moves me to see the Lord preparing this new generation, reminding them of the different sacrifices and offerings they had to make to enter the land in gratitude to the Lord. He was also showing them the sacrifices they should make if they sinned naively and without malice. He also warns the people to be careful about sinning against God with haughtiness because then the Lord would not forgive them.
Later we see the punishment of a man who did not care to obey the law and was exterminated from the people; so disciplined is God to enforce His law and keep the people away from evil hearts that flouted God's law.
Finally, the Lord commands them to put some reminders on their garments so that they never forget the law. The Lord recognizes that human beings are quick to forget and fall back into evil ways, even though God is in their midst. We have that tendency to be ungrateful by forgetting what God has done with us and not being faithful to the Lord, after granting us the requests of the heart.
The question we must ask ourselves today is: How do we remember the Word of God daily in our lives?
Possibly we are not going to put fringes on our clothes, but we can put some reminders in our house such as frames with biblical verses or with phrases dedicated to God, or say every day our prayers in the morning and/or before going to bed, recite Bible verses and play music praising and worshiping God; in this way you always remember God and His Word, also to remind us that there are things that the Lord likes and others that He does not, and that we must apply them in our lives even in times of temptation by impulses of our flesh to avoid making us fall.
Possibly you can put a photo that reminds you of God's great love as your testimony, or a miracle of healing or transformation that God has done in you, or choose a family photo and put it in the room and tell your family that this photo represents God's blessing in the home.
If you feel that in your workplace you go through many tests and temptations, it will help you a lot to have some reminder of the Word of God in your vehicle so as not to give up, trust that we are in God's hands and that we must avoid breaking His commandments with sinful actions that we can face with co-workers. In your office or workplace you can have a reminder of the Word of God as a keychain or cards with Bible verses so that everyone knows that you are a believer and so, if someone wants to invite you to do something bad, they should think twice.
In short, it is up to you to look for those memories like fringes that remind you of the beautiful Word of God, His promises and our responsibilities to Him as disciples of Jesus Christ. Remember God's command not to make or have any sculpture or image of anything that is in heaven above, on earth below, or in the water below the earth; not bow down and worship before them, because the Lord is a jealous God. So let's avoid idolatry.

Recordemos que ayer leímos que ellos no creyeron que Dios podía introducirlos a la tierra prometida, se sublevaron contra la voluntad de Dios, y Dios los castigó por 40 años y les juró que no entrarían a la tierra prometida, excepto sus hijos, Josué y Caleb quienes creyeron en el Señor.
Me conmueve ver al Señor preparando a esa nueva generación, recordándoles los diferentes sacrificios y ofrendas que debían hacer para entrar a la tierra en agradecimiento al Señor. También les estaba indicando los sacrificios que deberían hacer si pecaban ingenuamente y sin malicia. También previene al pueblo de que tenga cuidado con pecar contra Dios con altivez porque así el Señor no los perdonaría.
Después vemos el castigo de un hombre que no le importó cumplir la ley y fue exterminado del pueblo; así de disciplinado es Dios por hacer cumplir su ley y mantener al pueblo lejos de corazones malvados que se burlaban de la ley de Dios.
Por último, el Señor les manda a que pusieran en sus vestiduras unos recordatorios para que nunca se olviden de la ley. El Señor reconoce que el ser humano es pronto para olvidar y volver a caer en los malos caminos, a pesar de que Dios está en medio de él. Tenemos esa tendencia de ser ingratos al olvidar lo que Dios ha hecho con nosotros y no ser fieles al Señor, después de concedernos las peticiones del corazón.
La pregunta que debemos hacernos hoy es: ¿De qué manera recordamos la Palabra de Dios a diario en nuestra vida?
Posiblemente no vamos a poner flecos en nuestras ropas, pero sí podemos poner algún recuerdo en nuestra casa como cuadros con versos bíblicos o con frases dedicadas a Dios, o hacer todos los días nuestras oraciones en la mañana y/o antes de acostarnos, recitar versos bíblicos y poner música alabando y adorando a Dios; así recuerdas a Dios y su Palabra siempre, también para recordarnos que hay cosas que al Señor le agradan y otras que no, y que debemos aplicarlos en nuestras vidas incluso en los momentos de tentación por impulsos de nuestra carne para evitar hacernos caer.
Posiblemente puedes poner alguna foto que te recuerde el grande amor de Dios como tu testimonio, o un milagro de sanidad o de transformación que Dios ha hecho en ti, o escoger una foto familiar y ponerla en la sala y decirle a tu familia que esta foto representa la bendición de Dios en el hogar.
Si sientes que en tu lugar de trabajo pasas por muchas pruebas y tentaciones, te va ayudar mucho tener algún recuerdo de la Palabra de Dios en tu vehículo para no darte por vencido, confiar que estamos en las manos de Dios y que debemos evitar quebrantar sus mandamientos con acciones pecaminosas que podemos enfrentar con compañeros de trabajo. En tu oficina o lugar de trabajo puedes tener un recuerdo de la Palabra de Dios como un llavero o tarjetas con versos bíblicos para que todos sepan que tú eres creyente y así, si alguna persona que quiera invitarte a hacer algo malo, lo piense dos veces.
En fin, está en ti buscar esos recuerdos como flecos que te recuerden la hermosa Palabra de Dios, sus promesas y nuestras responsabilidades como discípulos de Jesucristo. Recuerda el mandamiento de Dios de no hacer o tener escultura alguna o imagen de nada de lo que hay arriba en el cielo, abajo en la tierra o en el agua debajo de la tierra; no postrarse y adorar ante ellas, no rendirle culto porque el Señor es un Dios celoso. Así que evitemos la idolatría.

Numbers 15: Reminders to take into account the Word of God daily.
Numbers 15:37-41:
Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.”

This chapter is very interesting because it begins with some advice from the Lord so that the people prepare themselves when they enter the promised land.
Let's remember that yesterday we read that they did not believe that God could introduce them to the promised land, they rebelled against the will of God, and God punished them for 40 years and swore that they would not enter the promised land, except for their children, Joshua and Caleb who believed in the Lord.
It moves me to see the Lord preparing this new generation, reminding them of the different sacrifices and offerings they had to make to enter the land in gratitude to the Lord. He was also showing them the sacrifices they should make if they sinned naively and without malice. He also warns the people to be careful about sinning against God with haughtiness because then the Lord would not forgive them.
Later we see the punishment of a man who did not care to obey the law and was exterminated from the people; so disciplined is God to enforce His law and keep the people away from evil hearts that flouted God's law.
Finally, the Lord commands them to put some reminders on their garments so that they never forget the law. The Lord recognizes that human beings are quick to forget and fall back into evil ways, even though God is in their midst. We have that tendency to be ungrateful by forgetting what God has done with us and not being faithful to the Lord, after granting us the requests of the heart.
The question we must ask ourselves today is: How do we remember the Word of God daily in our lives?
Possibly we are not going to put fringes on our clothes, but we can put some reminders in our house such as frames with biblical verses or with phrases dedicated to God, or say every day our prayers in the morning and/or before going to bed, recite Bible verses and play music praising and worshiping God; in this way you always remember God and His Word, also to remind us that there are things that the Lord likes and others that He does not, and that we must apply them in our lives even in times of temptation by impulses of our flesh to avoid making us fall.
Possibly you can put a photo that reminds you of God's great love as your testimony, or a miracle of healing or transformation that God has done in you, or choose a family photo and put it in the room and tell your family that this photo represents God's blessing in the home.
If you feel that in your workplace you go through many tests and temptations, it will help you a lot to have some reminder of the Word of God in your vehicle so as not to give up, trust that we are in God's hands and that we must avoid breaking His commandments with sinful actions that we can face with co-workers. In your office or workplace you can have a reminder of the Word of God as a keychain or cards with Bible verses so that everyone knows that you are a believer and so, if someone wants to invite you to do something bad, they should think twice.
In short, it is up to you to look for those memories like fringes that remind you of the beautiful Word of God, His promises and our responsibilities to Him as disciples of Jesus Christ. Remember God's command not to make or have any sculpture or image of anything that is in heaven above, on earth below, or in the water below the earth; not bow down and worship before them, because the Lord is a jealous God. So let's avoid idolatry.
