Números 3: Cuida lo sagrado, lo que Dios te ha encomendado.
Números 3:1-10:
1 Este es el registro de los desc+endientes de Aarón y de Moisés, el día en que el SEÑOR habló a Moisés en el monte Sinaí: 2 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón: Nadab el primogénito, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar. 3 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón ungidos sacerdotes, a quienes él invistió para servir como sacerdotes. 4 Pero Nadab y Abihú murieron delante del SEÑOR cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante del SEÑOR en el desierto de Sinai, y no tuvieron hijos. Así que Eleazar e Itamar sirvieron como sacerdotes delante de su padre Aarón.

Este capítulo es especial porque muestra el momento cuando Dios autoriza censar a los levitas pero con un propósito específico, que cada levita fuera el reemplazo de cada primogénito de las demás tribus. El número equivalente de cada persona y ganado debía ser igual, ya que los levitas y sus pertenencias tomarían el lugar de los primogénitos, y así se convertirían en posesión de Dios como una ofrenda. El déficit del número fue complementado con una ofrenda especial.
También me impresiona el mandato de Dios a los levitas acerca del cuidado que ellos debían tener con todos los rituales, ordenanzas y utensilios del tabernáculo. No debían salirse de los parámetros establecidos, de los reglamentos del orden del culto, y debían cuidar y proteger solemnemente.
Esta responsabilidad nos recuerda dos cosas: que somos sacerdotes llamados por Dios para ofrecer adoración en su presencia con elementos sagrados como la oración, cánticos de alabanzas, ofrendas voluntarias de nuestros bienes, y nuestros dones que Dios nos da por medio de su Santo Espíritu.
También tenemos utensilios valiosos que Dios ha puesto en nuestras manos. Herramientas valiosas que debemos proteger: cada miembro de nuestro hogar.
Tenemos una responsabilidad muy grande de cuidar de los nuestros. Ellos son como esos utensilios sagrados del templo de Dios.
El Señor bendecía a los niños en su tiempo, y los puso como ejemplo para que aprendiéramos de ellos porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.
Los jóvenes también son utensilios de alabanza al Señor. Ellos fueron los que alabaron a Jesús al entrar a Jerusalén y Jesús los honró.
Leamos Mateo 21:15-16: "Pero los principales sacerdotes y los escribas se indignaron cuando vieron las maravillas que él hizo, y a los muchachos que lo aclamaban en el templo diciendo: —¡Hosanna al Hijo de David! Y le dijeron: —¿Oyes lo que dicen estos? Jesús les dijo: —Sí. ¿Nunca leyeron: De la boca de los niños y de los que maman preparaste la alabanza?"
Así que tenemos una responsabilidad muy grande de cuidar nuestros hijos.
También debemos honrar a nuestros padres. Es un mandamiento importante para el Señor. Cuidar de ellos y respetarlos trae bendición sobre nosotros y honramos a nuestro Padre Celestial.
En general, la Biblia dice que si no cuidamos de los miembros de nuestro hogar, proveyendo para sus necesidades, instruyéndolos en la verdad, seremos igual o peor que alguien que no ha tenido un encuentro con el Señor.
1 Timoteo 5:8 dice: “Si alguien no tiene cuidado de los suyos, y especialmente de los de su casa, ha negado la fe y es peor que un incrédulo.”

Numbers 3: Take care of the sacred, what God has entrusted to you.
Numbers 3:1-10:
Now these are the records of Aaron and Moses when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he consecrated to minister as priests. Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him. And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle. Also they shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting, and to the needs of the children of Israel, to do the work of the tabernacle. And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are given entirely to him from among the children of Israel. So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

This chapter is special because it shows the moment when God authorizes the census of the Levites but with a specific purpose, that each Levite was the replacement for each firstborn of the other tribes. The equivalent number of each person and livestock must be equal, since the Levites and their belongings would take the place of the firstborn, and thus become God's possession as an offering. The deficit of the number was complemented with a special offering.
I am also impressed by God's command to the Levites regarding the care they must take with all the rituals, ordinances and utensils of the tabernacle. They should not go outside the established parameters, the regulations of the order of the cult, and they should care for and protect solemnly.
This responsibility reminds us of two things: that we are priests called by God to offer worship in His presence with sacred elements such as prayer, songs of praise, voluntary offerings of our goods, and our gifts that God gives us through His Holy Spirit.
We also have valuable utensils that God has placed in our hands. Valuable tools that we must protect: each member of our household.
We have a very great responsibility to take care of our own. They are like those sacred vessels in the temple of God.
The Lord blessed the children in His time, and set them as an example for us to learn from them because theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Young people are also utensils for praising the Lord. They were the ones who praised Jesus as He entered Jerusalem and Jesus honored them. Let's read Matthew 21:15-16: “But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?””
So we have a very big responsibility to take care of our children.
We should also honor our parents. It is an important commandment for the Lord. Taking care of them and respecting them brings blessing upon us and we honor our Heavenly Father.
In general, the Bible says that if we do not take care of the members of our household, providing for their needs, instructing them in the truth, we will be equal to or worse than someone who has not had an encounter with the Lord. 1 Timothy 5:8 says: “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

5 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 6 “Haz que se acerque la tribu de Leví y ponla delante del sacerdote Aarón, para que ellos le sirvan. 7 Que guarden delante del tabernáculo de reunión lo que él les ha encomendado y lo que ha sido encomendado a toda la congregación, para llevar a cabo el servicio del tabernáculo. 8 Que cuiden de todos los utensilios del tabernáculo de reunión y lo que ha sido encomendado a los hijos de Israel, para llevar a cabo el servicio del tabernáculo. 9 Darás los levitas a Aarón y a sus hijos. Le son enteramente dedicados de entre los hijos de Israel. 10 Constituirán a Aarón y a sus hijos para que cumplan con su sacerdocio. El extraño que se acerque será muerto”.

Este capítulo es especial porque muestra el momento cuando Dios autoriza censar a los levitas pero con un propósito específico, que cada levita fuera el reemplazo de cada primogénito de las demás tribus. El número equivalente de cada persona y ganado debía ser igual, ya que los levitas y sus pertenencias tomarían el lugar de los primogénitos, y así se convertirían en posesión de Dios como una ofrenda. El déficit del número fue complementado con una ofrenda especial.
También me impresiona el mandato de Dios a los levitas acerca del cuidado que ellos debían tener con todos los rituales, ordenanzas y utensilios del tabernáculo. No debían salirse de los parámetros establecidos, de los reglamentos del orden del culto, y debían cuidar y proteger solemnemente.
Esta responsabilidad nos recuerda dos cosas: que somos sacerdotes llamados por Dios para ofrecer adoración en su presencia con elementos sagrados como la oración, cánticos de alabanzas, ofrendas voluntarias de nuestros bienes, y nuestros dones que Dios nos da por medio de su Santo Espíritu.
También tenemos utensilios valiosos que Dios ha puesto en nuestras manos. Herramientas valiosas que debemos proteger: cada miembro de nuestro hogar.
Tenemos una responsabilidad muy grande de cuidar de los nuestros. Ellos son como esos utensilios sagrados del templo de Dios.
El Señor bendecía a los niños en su tiempo, y los puso como ejemplo para que aprendiéramos de ellos porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.
Los jóvenes también son utensilios de alabanza al Señor. Ellos fueron los que alabaron a Jesús al entrar a Jerusalén y Jesús los honró.
Leamos Mateo 21:15-16: "Pero los principales sacerdotes y los escribas se indignaron cuando vieron las maravillas que él hizo, y a los muchachos que lo aclamaban en el templo diciendo: —¡Hosanna al Hijo de David! Y le dijeron: —¿Oyes lo que dicen estos? Jesús les dijo: —Sí. ¿Nunca leyeron: De la boca de los niños y de los que maman preparaste la alabanza?"
Así que tenemos una responsabilidad muy grande de cuidar nuestros hijos.
También debemos honrar a nuestros padres. Es un mandamiento importante para el Señor. Cuidar de ellos y respetarlos trae bendición sobre nosotros y honramos a nuestro Padre Celestial.
En general, la Biblia dice que si no cuidamos de los miembros de nuestro hogar, proveyendo para sus necesidades, instruyéndolos en la verdad, seremos igual o peor que alguien que no ha tenido un encuentro con el Señor.
1 Timoteo 5:8 dice: “Si alguien no tiene cuidado de los suyos, y especialmente de los de su casa, ha negado la fe y es peor que un incrédulo.”

Numbers 3: Take care of the sacred, what God has entrusted to you.
Numbers 3:1-10:
Now these are the records of Aaron and Moses when the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he consecrated to minister as priests. Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him. And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle. Also they shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting, and to the needs of the children of Israel, to do the work of the tabernacle. And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are given entirely to him from among the children of Israel. So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

This chapter is special because it shows the moment when God authorizes the census of the Levites but with a specific purpose, that each Levite was the replacement for each firstborn of the other tribes. The equivalent number of each person and livestock must be equal, since the Levites and their belongings would take the place of the firstborn, and thus become God's possession as an offering. The deficit of the number was complemented with a special offering.
I am also impressed by God's command to the Levites regarding the care they must take with all the rituals, ordinances and utensils of the tabernacle. They should not go outside the established parameters, the regulations of the order of the cult, and they should care for and protect solemnly.
This responsibility reminds us of two things: that we are priests called by God to offer worship in His presence with sacred elements such as prayer, songs of praise, voluntary offerings of our goods, and our gifts that God gives us through His Holy Spirit.
We also have valuable utensils that God has placed in our hands. Valuable tools that we must protect: each member of our household.
We have a very great responsibility to take care of our own. They are like those sacred vessels in the temple of God.
The Lord blessed the children in His time, and set them as an example for us to learn from them because theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Young people are also utensils for praising the Lord. They were the ones who praised Jesus as He entered Jerusalem and Jesus honored them. Let's read Matthew 21:15-16: “But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?””
So we have a very big responsibility to take care of our children.
We should also honor our parents. It is an important commandment for the Lord. Taking care of them and respecting them brings blessing upon us and we honor our Heavenly Father.
In general, the Bible says that if we do not take care of the members of our household, providing for their needs, instructing them in the truth, we will be equal to or worse than someone who has not had an encounter with the Lord. 1 Timothy 5:8 says: “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
