This week Heaven finally goes into a topic that took two years in the making--Nu Metal! Specifically, how much more inclusive Nu Metal is than what meets the eye with it's meshing of different musical genres to the diversity of musicians from different backgrounds to its lyrical content and way of subverting toxic masculinity seen in a lot of metal genres. She also discusses Woodstock '99 and how Nu Metal started to go into decline due to how the genre was seen after Limp Bizkit was blamed for issues of Woodstock '99, the ubiquity of Nu Metal acts, and how Depeche Mode's VIOLATOR became a major inspiration for Metal and Nu Metal acts alike.
