Safiya Steward, CRNP, is a Board-Certified Adult and Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She has more than sixteen years of experience providing care to geriatric patients in long-term care, assisted living, and home settings.
For five years, she has provided inpatient and outpatient palliative care to patients with chronic and terminal diagnoses. She is deeply passionate about caring for geriatric patients and ensuring that they and their families are informed about advance care planning.
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was the inaugural recipient of the Gail Kass Scholarship. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She is an active member of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurse Association (GAPNA) and has served as the secretary of the Maryland Chapter of GAPNA.
