The first action will be to gather equipment such as medication KARDEX or review in the Meditech,medication Cart or tray,medication cups,water, ice water, applesauce, pill crusher ,applesauce, pill crusher and straws. Check doctor orders. Assess patient for understanding the purpose of medication. Education patient on medication administration. Prepare the medication to be administered as ordered.
