In this episode of The Women's Pelvic Health Podcast, I am joined by Jessica Drummond, the founder and CEO of The Integrative Women's Health Institute. In addition to being a functional nutritionist, Jessica has over a decade of experience working as a pelvic floor physical therapist. She explains how what we eat directly effects the way that we feel, and how women with pelvic pain can change their diet in order to improve their quality of life. We talk specifically about Endometriosis, Vulvodynia and Interstitial Cystitis, all of which are conditions linked closely to inflammation in the body. Jessica has found that the majority of her patients with these pelvic pain conditions have overlapping gut issues as well. She outlines the techniques she uses in her practice to guide her patients to better gut health, which almost always improves their pain tremendously, if not eliminates it entirely.
Thank you for listening and I wish all of you health, healing and happiness.
